Crafters Cathie Filian and Steve Piacenza are getting it all down on paper. They go mad for mosaics with authentic-looking tiles made from hardened scrap paper, create their own personalized decorative paper with an easy-to-use mix, and show off a great way to hang up your favorite classic images.



Mediterranean Style Master Suite - Episode DSC-513

When Janet Bramson and David Hagen got married and combined their households two years ago, David moved into the four-bedroom, '70s ranch-style home Janet purchased years earlier. They've already redecorated several rooms of the house but now they say they'd like some professional help in designing a luxurious space for just the two of them. They want to tackle their master bath and bedroom suite. Without knowing how to start this huge project, they are in need of interior designers.

After meeting with three designer teams including Jerome Huffschmidt and Martin Casteran of Bradco Kitchens and Baths, Janet and David decided to choose Jerome and Martin to redesign their master suite.

Architectural Digest, November 2004: Tile Trade Tricks

Richard Landry found a remarkable tile studio by accident at the Bradco Kitchen + Baths showroom in Los Angeles. Clients collaborate with artisan Eli Shoef (right, in the studio with Landy, right) to develop design ideas. "The tiles are incredible. They're made the old-fashioned way, using a hand press," explains Landry. The tile press itself is not old—it was designed by Shoef to meet his modern-day needs.
